We are absolutely thrilled to be opening our 25th anniversary festival with a performance by the company of renowned, iconic Canadian artist: Marie Chouinard. We are pleased Marie Chouinard, choreographer of Radical Vitality, shared with us some thoughts about the work:

GD: What are you most excited about telling the audience about your work?
Marie: Actually, I am “talking” directly with the audience through the work itself. As I am invested in creation, in life, in perceiving, receiving, giving, participating, being/doing, and being touched by and in communion with, what is beyond, I am excited about the live link with the audience.
GD: What has been your biggest takeaway from the rehearsal process so far?

Marie: I am mostly engaged in the process of creation. When I am engaged in the process of rehearsal, I approach it as another occasion to create, to pursue the creation.
And creation is for me a way of life, a way of joy and love and learning and sharing.
GD: What do you hope the audience will take away from your work?
MC: An experience?
