Shannon Kingsbury (she/her) is a singer, songwriter, harpist and music educator. Since 2007, Shannon been fortunate to work with hundreds of Guelph’s singers of all ages; in her teaching studio Kingsbury Music; in schools; through arts organizations such as Guelph Dance and Creativity Greenhouse; and in the community. Shannon delights in supporting others as they express themselves through song, and she believes that musicality and creative expression are integral facets of humanity, which have the power to foster compassion, health and joy.
As performer/creator, Shannon has produced two solo albums of original songs. Along with Sue Smith, she co-curated Spring Awakes! at Ignatius Old Growth Forest, and co-founded and directed vocal ensemble Ondine Chorus. With drum maker Maya Larose, Shannon developed The Heartbeat Project (recipients of the 2023 Pay It Forward Arts Fund), an intergenerational community music circle. Shannon leads the children’s chorus for A Very Charlie Brown Concert, a holiday staple.
