Noibis Licea (Bayamo, Cuba) is currently a Teaching Artist for Ailey Arts In Education & Community Programs. A graduate from the prestigious National School of Arts in Havana and New York University is a multi-talented performer, choreographer and teaching artist with extensive experience in Modern, Ballet, Afro-Cuban Dances, and Latin Rhythms. He has performed professionally with multiple companies throughout his native country in addition to sharing his knowledge as an instructor at the Vocational School of the Arts in Holguin, Cuba. Now based in New York City, Mr.Licea has taught classes and workshops at The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The Ailey School, PPAS (Professional Performing Arts High School Program), The Aile Extension, Ballet Hispanico, Harlem School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Hunter College, Complexions Winter Intensive and NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Mr. Licea performances include the seventh annual Cuba-Caribe Dance Festival in San Francisco, Flint Hills International Childrens’s Festival in Minnesota, Jacob’s Pillow Festival with Oyu Oro and toured for many years with Nai Ni Chen Dance Company he has choreographed for Oyu Oro Afro-Cuban Experimental Dance Ensemble, The Ailey Spirit Gala at Lincoln Center, Alabama State University, Arts High School Newark, New Jersey and AileyCamp Hawaii. Mr. Licea is currently a faculty member at The Ailey Extension and AileyCamp NYC.
