As a child, Meredith Blackmore (she/her) trained in ballet. Then, as a child, she quit. She did not relinquish her membership to the dance world and delightedly notes, “They don’t ever ask for it back.” She applies her early training willy-nilly on a daily basis. She is widely recognized as a dancer by her own children and has danced internationally in kitchens. Meredith is an accomplished figurative painter but she is sure that is actually about dance somehow. Her favourite costume is one with fringe on the sleeves. Her favourite question is, “Are we human or are we dancer?”
