Meghan is a dance artist, choreographer, educator, yoga instructor and lifelong student. Originally from Quispamsis, New Brunswick, she began her dance education on the East Coast. Further refining her craft, she graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance.
Meghan has had the privilege of dancing and creating work for over 15 years, forming Hidden Heart Dance Collective in 2006. She has been honored to present her work at fFida (Fringe Festival of International Dance Artists), Halifax Fringe Festival, Series 8:08, Guelph Dance festival as well as other venues giving her the opportunity to collaborate with musicians, visual artists and filmmakers. These ventures continue to spark a creative interest in multi-disciplinary work as a means to communicate through art and dance.
Meghan is passionate about teaching and creating environments where students feel confident and inspired. In conjunction with strong foundation technique, she takes pride in developing educational experiences that lead students to discover their own creative voice. She believes strongly in empowering people through fostering confidence in personal expression by way of dance and movement.
