Guelph Dance’s 2026 Artists-in-Residence, Twin Moon, will be sharing some of the research from their residency for their work titled Wings in Motion.

This event is an informal sharing of a work-in-progress. More details to come. Arrive open and curious!

About the Work

Wings in Motion explores movement inspired by the life cycle of a kaleidoscope (a group of monarch butterflies). The evolution of the butterfly has forced new ways of survival. Having to alter their hibernation patterns and relying on humans to restore their habitats. The parallel narrative is reflective of how women and monarchs are persistent, resourceful and resilient when faced with callous outsiders bringing them down. Like monarchs, women will morph and change, not only from the work they will do to overcome adversity, but also because it is innate and inevitable.

About the Artists

Twin Moon is an aspiring collective with artists Phoebe and Zoë Harrington at the forefront. They want to allow creativity to meet expression in all its vibrant forms. At their heart, they wish to celebrate every voice and every story with passion and authenticity.

Phoebe and Zoë are twin sisters from Paris, Ontario. They are multifaceted artists and graduates of York University’s dance program. They are grounded in their contemporary dance practices, and their strong dance influence is evident in the aesthetics of their other artistic pursuits: Photography, visual paintings, collages and other visual designs are a montage of their character, their sweeping motion, and their spatial arrangement. Nature enthusiasts, yoga instructors and, most recently, dance teachers. Phoebe and Zoë love to explore many paths, broaden their skills and expand the boundaries of their artistic careers.
