Tentacle Tribe Approach

This workshop will include several influences converging into a strong and precise dance. A mix of concepts from breaking, popping and perhaps contemporary dance, will be the foundation of each exercise. Floor exercises, inversions, “freezes”, traveling on the floor to work on flow, dynamics and control. Refinement of concepts, where we’ll play with the mechanic and the organic in movements, to give it a sense of illusion and complexity. We will also be applying the concepts to duet, trio and group work so that we can increase our awareness of other bodies with simple and more complex partnering exercises.

Open for all levels of dance experience. Participants under the age of 16 are asked to be accompanied by a guardian.
